Who is responsible

What we collect, and why

• Account details (email, first name, sign-in records): to give you an account. Lawful basis: contract.
• Practice content (your CV, stories, answers, recordings and scores): to run your mock interviews and mark them. On the free taster it stays in your browser; on paid plans it's also saved to your account so it's on every device. Lawful basis: contract.
• Payment details: handled by Stripe. We never see your full card number. Lawful basis: contract and legal obligation (keeping accounts).
• Usage and device information (pages visited, which features you use, a device identifier, where you came from, such as a creator's link): to run the service, prevent abuse of the free taster, and improve it. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
• Marketing emails: only if you tick the box, and you can stop them any time. Lawful basis: consent.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run GetRehearsed for us: Cloudflare (hosting and database), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (the AI that marks answers), OpenAI (voice and transcription, on plans that include them) and Resend (email). They process data on our instructions. Anthropic and OpenAI don't use it to train their models. Some of these providers are based in the United States; transfers are covered by the UK's data bridge or standard contractual clauses. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Account and practice data: until you delete your account. Payment records: 6 years, as the law requires. Usage records: up to 2 years.

Your rights

You can see, download, correct or delete your data at any time: use the account page or email us. You can also object to processing and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We only set cookies once you sign up, and only the two the service needs: one keeps you signed in, and one recognises your device so each person gets one free mock interview. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. Before you sign up nothing is stored on your device: we count visits with a code made from your connection that changes every day, and if you followed a creator's link, its code travels in the page address.
